Conference Papers, Lectures, Workshops and Retreats

From 2019 to 2024 I have taken an extended break from work due to chronic fatigue. I have done little travelling and only a couple of public lectures, but I have been taking part in a number of online interviews and podcasts from home. I am gradually returning to work.

September 2nd – 10th 2023, Campomoro, Corsica

MESEC is a grassroots foundation run by PhD students and post-docs in consciousness science in different institutes in and around Europe. I attended their annual workshop giving a Keynote Talk followed by a discussion workshop.

Breaking Convention, Exeter, UK, 20-22 April 2023
In April 2023 I gave a lecture at Breaking Convention in Exeter, UK. This is a biennial multi-disciplinary conference on psychedelic consciousness, featuring more than 200 presenters from around the world. I have not been to this conference since the first one in 2011. This year’s event coincides with the 80 year anniversary of the first recorded LSD “trip” by Albert Hofmann, April 19, 1943. and that day is now known as bicycle day.
I gave a talk about “Illusionism and the psychedelic experience” you can watch my lecture here:
